While the band might be called “alternative”\, its cinematic music is rooted in 1960s and 1970s-inspired and socially-conscious psychedelic soul-rock. The proudly San Francisco\, California-based band has just released its debut album\, Strange Angels\, a “turn on\, tune in\, drop out” offering- it’s a journey that rewards listening in one continuous sitting. The band is currently working on their follow up album. \nThe four-piece group’s freewheeling but distinctive aesthetic encompasses strains of psychedelia\, soul\, rock\, blues\, jazz\, folk\, and world music.
