This is why he consistently connects with so many people directly at every show. \nPolzak’s abundant joy in communicating with people through music leaps off the stage through every fiber of his being. SUMMARY:Patrick Wolff Quartet
DESCRIPTION:Patrick Wolff is a saxophone and clarinet player with a long history in the jazz scenes of New York City and San Francisco. He has performed or recorded with Albert “Tootie” Heath\, Matt Wilson\, Grant Stewart\, Louis Moholo-Moholo\, Dena Derose\, and many other jazz greats. Since moving to San Francisco in 2009\, Wolff has played and recorded regularly in the bands of Marcus Shelby\, Richard Sears\, Graham Connah\, Adam Shulman\, and Diana Gameros. Outside of the jazz world\, he has had an eclectic mix of work including long stints in West African pop/funk group Asiko\, prog metal band Kayo Dot\, and with fuji music legend Adewale Ayuba. With six albums released under his name\, Wolff has made his mark as a bandleader with various groups playing his original compositions\, and with classic jazz quartets and quintets focused on repertoire of the bebop and hard bop eras. His playing is characterized by a focus on lyricism and an embrace of the whole lineage of jazz styles. \nWolff is also a passionate jazz educator and advocate. For four years\, he hosted and produced a weekly fearure show on KCSM 91.1FM (“Have You Heard”)\, exploring the work of emerging and underrated jazz artists\, and continues to dj for the station on occasion. He was the Faculty Director at the Stanford Jazz Workshop from 2008-2013\, and currently teaches jazz history\, composition\, and ensemble classes at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the College of San Mateo throughout the year\, and at the Stanford Jazz Workshop in the summe

Her unique phrasing and less-is-more sound has led her to perform at such renowned venues as SFJAZZ\, Yoshi’s\, Albuquerque’s The Outpost\, as well as international events such as the Fillmore Jazz Festival and Santa Fe Music Collective Jazz Series. \nAs a master songstress and storyteller\, Carsillo has released five diverse albums and a multitude of singles to date. She continues to delve into songwriting and the worlds of theater\, video production and film. As an artist—one with an insatiable desire to create—she is driven to bring her unique flavor of jazz to brand new audiences\, and take it to bold new heights.

Tony Monaco began his keyboard life at age eight. When he was twelve\, his destiny as a jazz organist was sealed when he first heard Jimmy Smith. An enthusiastic student\, Tony began working in Jazz clubs as a teenager in his native Columbus\, Ohio\, guided by local organ gurus Hank Marr and Don Patterson. Four years later\, Jimmy Smith invited Tony to come play at his club in California\, a peak lifetime experience for Tony. \nBruce Forman \nA hectic touring schedule; twenty-one recordings as a leader\,  countless sideman recordings including Ray Brown\, Bobby Hutcherson\, Roger Kellaway; soundtrack performances on three of Clint Eastwood’s distinguished films—most notably Academy Award-winning Million Dollar Baby; raconteur\, arranger\, acclaimed educator\, in residence at USC’s Studio/Jazz Guitar Dept.\, when does Bruce Forman rest? \nDeszon Claiborne \nA native of the Bay Area\, Deszon Claiborne began his musical career at the early age of ten.
