Conceived at the Patio de Ochun Studios\, with drummer Josh Jones (of Omar Sosa) bassist David Pinto (of Susana Baca) and cajon player Juan Medrano Cotito (of Susana Baca) Oaklando was engineered by multi-grammy winner\, Greg Landau (of David Byrne fame)\, and became a recipient of the prestigious Music in Place Grant. Oaklando has regular performances at Local Edition\, Lakehouse Jazz\, Elevation LVK\, and Zeitgeist.
