Aki Kumar is often called “The Only Bombay Blues Man.” Born in Mumbai, India, Aki initially came to Silicon Valley to work as a software engineer before his life dramatically changed upon discovering the raw power of American blues. Now a San Jose-based vocalist and masterful harmonica player, he has developed an audacious and completely unique sound that seamlessly blends Chicago-style blues with traditional Bollywood music and retro Indian pop.

Kumar has garnered international critical acclaim for his albums, including Aki Goes to Bollywood and Hindi Man Blues, and has performed at major festivals like Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.
