Carla Helmbrecht with the Brad Leali Quartet: “A Portrait of Soulful Sophistication”

The sensitive and sophisticated vocal stylings of Carla Helmbrecht are the perfect complement to the soulful, blues- and swing-influenced style of saxophonist Brad Leali. Not only do they explore classic jazz standards and original material, but they are able to infuse historical and modern components to their unique arrangements. This dynamic duo will be backed tonight by a world class trio with:
Quincy Davis- Drums- Recording artist, band leader, and Associate Professor of Jazz Drumset at the University of North Texas.
Adam Shulman- Piano/Organ- Band leader, educator, and staple of the San Francisco Jazz scene.
Fred Randolph- Bass- First call, Bay Area bassist, arranger, composer, and educator.
