Raised in Oakland and immersed in the Bay Area’s vibrant music community, Miles has absorbed a rich blend of cultures and genres, including jazz, funk, gospel, R&B, Afrobeat, and Afro-Latin. Growing up in this dynamic musical environment, where funk, gospel, or jazz might play on a nearby radio at any moment, Miles channels these formative experiences into the music he creates. Like jazz itself, his musical identity is ever-evolving and continually taking shape.
